We just got our first official look at the front of the upcoming Realme GT 8 Pro, and it seems Realme is listening to what people want. The company’s Vice President, Xu Qi Chase, shared an image that shows off a beautiful, flat display with super slim bezels on all four sides. It’s a very clean and symmetrical look that should make a lot of users happy.
This isn’t just any screen, either. Realme has confirmed that the phone will use a custom QHD panel from BOE, a top screen manufacturer. They’re using a special Q10+ material that’s supposed to be brighter and better for your eyes, all while refreshing at a buttery smooth 144Hz. It’s interesting that they call it a 2K display, which is a common marketing term, but it’s technically a sharper QHD resolution.
Inside, the Realme GT 8 Pro will be one of the first phones to run on Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. That’s a whole lot of power. To go with the new chip, the phone will come with Realme UI 7.0 right out of the box, which is said to make the whole experience feel faster and even improve gaming.
What’s really surprising is how affordable it might be. Chase hinted that the GT 8 series will cost less than CNY 5,000, which is about $700. For a phone with this kind of screen and a brand-new top-of-the-line chip, that sounds like a really good deal. We can expect to see the full reveal in China this October, with everyone else getting it sometime later this year. More news is sure to drop soon.
