Nothing Phone 3a Community Edition is official: only 1,000 units — how to get one

Nothing Phone 3a Community Edition

Nothing just made it real. The Nothing Phone 3a Community Edition is official today, and it’s as limited as it sounds. Only 1,000 units worldwide. You can register now through December 11, then a short sales window opens on December 12 on Nothing’s website. Blink and you might miss it.

This Community Edition wasn’t a quick paint job. Nothing invited its fans to shape the look, the feel, and the story. The company says it received 700+ submissions across hardware design, software, accessories, and creative. The winning crew: Emre Kayganaci for hardware design, Ambrogio Tacconi and Louis Aymond for accessories, Jad Zock for the lock screen clock and wallpaper, and Sushruta Sarkar for the marketing concept. They spent months in London working with Nothing’s teams to turn sketches into the final device. That part is cool to see, even if you’re not usually into limited runs.

The design leans into late 90s and early 2000s vibes. Think clean plastic textures and straightforward shapes that look familiar in a good way. There’s a quirky accessory too, a box of dice with numbers set in Nothing’s Ndot 55 font. Not exactly something you need, but it fits the brand’s playful side. The software has small but neat touches: a custom clock face that trims visual clutter and guides your eyes to the important bits, plus an exclusive wallpaper that ties the back color and texture to the front interface. Small details, big personality.

Nothing Phone 3a Community Edition Specs

Specs match the standard Phone 3a. You get a 6.77-inch AMOLED with 120 Hz refresh, 2,160 Hz PWM dimming for comfort, and 3,000 nit peak brightness for sunny days. Inside is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. On the back, a triple camera setup: 50 MP main with OIS, 50 MP 2x telephoto, and 8 MP ultrawide. Selfies land on a 32 MP camera. The battery is 5,000 mAh with 50 W wired charging. This Community Edition ships in a single trim with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. No surprises here, and honestly that’s fine. The draw is the design story and its scarcity.

How to get one, the quick way:

  • Go to Nothing’s website and sign in to your account.
  • Register your interest by December 11.
  • Be ready on December 12 for the limited sales window. Have your payment and shipping info saved so you can check out fast.
Only 1,000 units means there’s no waiting around. Set a reminder. Maybe two.
