Realme just made it official. The new Realme GT 8 and the high-end Realme GT 8 Pro are coming next month.
The company shared the news on Weibo, confirming an October launch in China. While we don’t have a specific date yet, you can already sign up for a pre-order on Realme’s official Chinese store. It’s a bit of a tease, but it builds excitement. As a nice bonus, anyone who pre-orders gets a chance to extend their phone’s warranty. There’s even a sweepstakes to win a free GT 8 Pro. Not a bad deal at all.
So, what’s the buzz about these phones? The regular GT 8 will be a solid performer, but all eyes are on the Pro model. Leaks suggest it’s going to be a powerhouse. The screen is rumored to be a large 6.78-inch flat panel with very thin borders. That should be great for watching videos and playing games.
The camera setup sounds especially impressive. Word is we’re looking at a 50-megapixel main camera, joined by a massive 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. That kind of zoom capability is usually reserved for much more expensive phones. If true, it could take some incredibly long-distance photos. And the battery? They’re talking about a huge 8,000 mAh capacity. That’s enormous. For most people, that could mean going two or even three days without needing a charger. It’s a feature that really matters in daily life.
This launch is a big move for Realme as it tries to compete with other top Android phones. We’ll be watching for the official announcement to get all the confirmed details on specs and, hopefully, global availability.
