Word just leaked about Oppo’s upcoming Find X9, and honestly? This might be their biggest upgrade yet. The latest leak from XpertPick reveals some wild stuff happening with this phone
The whole Find X9 series is apparently dropping in October. We’re talking the regular X9, the Pro version, and maybe even a Plus model thrown in there too. Though here’s the thing – some rumors from before said the X9 would have a smaller 6.3-inch screen. If that’s true, then all these juicy specs might actually be for the Plus model instead. Who knows? Leaks are messy like that sometimes.
So we’re looking at a 6.59-inch LTPO OLED display with what they’re calling “1.5K” resolution. Plus you get 120Hz refresh rate, which is pretty much standard now for flagships. Nothing groundbreaking here, but it keeps things smooth.
The fingerprint scanner’s going ultrasonic instead of optical this time. That’s actually a nice touch because ultrasonic sensors work way better when your fingers are wet or dirty. Anyone who’s struggled with their phone at the beach knows what I’m talking about.
Here’s where things get interesting. The Find X9 is supposedly packing a massive 7,025mAh battery. That’s huge for a flagship phone. Most of them stick around 4,000-5,000mAh, so this could easily push you through two full days of heavy use.
Charging speeds hit 80W wired and 50W wireless. Not the absolute fastest we’ve seen, but definitely quick enough to get you back up and running during lunch break.
The camera system gets a proper refresh. Main camera uses Sony’s Lytia LYT-808 sensor at 50MP with optical stabilization. The ultrawide sticks with Samsung’s ISOCELL JN5 sensor, also at 50MP.
But the telephoto camera sounds pretty sweet – 50MP periscope setup using Samsung’s ISOCELL JN9 sensor with 3x optical zoom and stabilization. For selfies, you’re getting another 50MP camera with Samsung’s ISOCELL JN1 sensor.
All the cameras will work with Oppo’s Lumo Imaging tech and Hasselblad color tuning. Those partnerships have been producing some genuinely good photos on recent Oppo phones.
MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset handles the processing power. This is MediaTek’s next flagship chip that should go toe-to-toe with whatever Qualcomm’s cooking up. Performance should be snappy for gaming, multitasking, whatever you throw at it.
The phone ships with Android 16 and ColorOS 16 on top. Getting the newest Android version right from day one is always nice.
There’s some smaller upgrades worth mentioning. The Plus key from the Find X8 Pro is making a comeback. It’s basically a customizable button you can set up for quick actions.
They’re adding a new x-axis linear vibration motor too. That means better haptic feedback when you’re typing or playing games.
Both IP68 and IP69 ratings mean this thing can handle serious water exposure. IP69 is particularly tough – we’re talking protection against high-pressure water jets. Most phones can’t handle that level of abuse.
What This Means
Compared to last year’s Find X8, the X9 brings newer silicon, way bigger battery capacity, better selfie camera resolution, ultrasonic fingerprint scanning, and that Plus key. That’s a pretty solid list of improvements.
The October launch timing makes sense. Oppo usually unveils their Find series around then, giving them a good holiday season push.
One thing to keep in mind – leaks aren’t always perfect. Specifications can change, model names get mixed up, and sometimes features get cut before launch. But this leak seems pretty detailed and specific, so there’s probably some truth to it.
If these specs pan out, the Find X9 could be a genuinely compelling flagship option. That battery life alone might win over people tired of charging their phone every single day.
