Xiaomi officially launched the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Pro+ in China. These phones come with some significant upgrades. What stands out the most? Both models now come with enormous 7,000mAh batteries. That’s a big increase from last year’s models. The Note 14 Pro had a 5,500mAh battery. The Pro+ had a 6,200mAh battery.
The Note 15 Pro+ is the first smartphone to launch with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. Xiaomi claims this chip offers 7% better CPU and GPU performance than the previous generation. The regular Note 15 Pro gets MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 Ultra chip, which is basically an overclocked version of the Dimensity 7300 from last year. Both phones should easily get you through a full day of heavy use with these massive batteries.
Both phones share the same 6.83-inch AMOLED display with crystal-clear 1,280 x 2,772 pixel resolution. The screen refreshes at 120Hz and can get incredibly bright at 3,200 nits peak brightness. Xiaomi protected these displays with their Dragon Crystal Glass technology. Don’t expect major camera changes, though.
The Note 15 Pro+ keeps the same setup as before: a 50MP main camera using the OV Light Hunter 800 sensor, plus a 50MP portrait lens with 2.5x optical zoom and an 8MP ultrawide camera. The regular Pro model gets a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor and an 8MP ultrawide.
Here’s where things get interesting. The Pro+ charges at 90W, while the regular Pro maxes out at 45W. But both phones can work as power banks thanks to 22.5W reverse charging capabilities. That means you can charge other devices using your phone’s battery.
The phones also pack serious water resistance with IP68 and IP69K ratings. That’s military-grade protection that can handle high-pressure water jets for extended periods.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro starts at CNY 1,499 ($208/€175) for the 8GB/256GB model and goes up to CNY 1,899 ($264/€222) for 12GB/512GB. The Pro+ begins at CNY 1,999 ($278/€234) for 12GB/256GB and tops out at CNY 2,399 ($334/€281) for the 16GB/512GB version. There’s even a special Satellite Messaging Edition of the Pro+ that costs CNY 2,499 ($348/€293). This marks the first time a Redmi phone gets satellite connectivity features.
Both models come in Midnight Black, Cedar White, and Sky Blue colors. The Pro gets Cloud Purple while the Pro+ offers Smoky Purple instead. The phones are already available in China, with a 100 yuan discount for early buyers.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro specifications show Xiaomi focused on practical upgrades this time around. Bigger batteries, faster processors, and better durability make these phones solid choices for anyone wanting flagship features without premium prices.
