Samsung’s next big phone just got a color makeover. New leaked pictures show the Galaxy S26 Ultra in a bright orange shade that looks a lot like Apple’s Cosmic Orange from the iPhone 17 Pro series. The images surfaced online today and instantly got people talking.
The leak shows three different color options. The orange one is the standout. It’s bold and intense, not the usual safe tones Samsung picks for its top-tier phones. The other two colors play it safer with what appears to be Whitesilver and Titanium Gray finishes. Those shades won’t turn heads, but the orange definitely will.
Last month, Apple unveiled the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max in their striking Cosmic Orange finish. That color sold out crazy fast in both India and the US, even with the phones starting at over a lakh rupees. Samsung seems to have noticed how popular that orange was. The Galaxy Watch Ultra already comes in a similar vibrant orange, so matching the phone to the watch could create a nice ecosystem look for those who want everything to match.
But here’s where things get murky. The leak came from a source that doesn’t have much of a track record, so taking it with a grain of salt makes sense. Even bigger red flag? Steve McFly, better known as OnLeaks, took to X today and basically said these images are most likely AI-generated fakes. OnLeaks has been pretty accurate with phone leaks over the years, so his doubts carry weight.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to launch in January next year based on Samsung’s usual timeline. Even if this particular leak is real, companies test out different colors all the time and never actually release them. What shows up in dummy units months before launch doesn’t always make it to store shelves. Samsung could easily decide to go with something more subtle if feedback keeps running negative.
Fans have had mixed reactions to the color. Some people love the idea of a bold flagship that stands out. Others think it looks too loud for a premium phone that costs over a thousand dollars. Reddit and X threads are filled with comments calling it toy-like or trying too hard. Lighting and camera angles in leaks can make colors look way different than they really are, so the final product might be more muted if Samsung does go ahead with orange.
The leaked dummy units also show the phone has rounder corners than the current S25 Ultra and a camera bump that matches the body color. The design seems to be moving away from the boxy look that made previous Ultra models stand out. Some fans aren’t thrilled about that change either since the Ultra’s sharp edges were part of its identity.
For now, it’s a waiting game. Samsung hasn’t confirmed anything about colors or design for the S26 Ultra. Until the official announcement happens, every leak should be viewed as maybe-accurate at best. The orange could be real, it could be a test that never goes anywhere, or it could be completely fabricated by AI. January will tell us for sure what Samsung actually has planned.
