It looks like OnePlus is done playing coy with its next big phone. After a steady stream of official images on Weibo, the company’s president in China, Louis Lee, has now posted an official OnePlus 15 unboxing video, giving us a full look at what buyers will get on day one.
The video kicks off with the packaging, and honestly, there are no big surprises here. It’s the same vibrant red box with bold black lettering that OnePlus has used for years. It’s familiar, and it seems they’re not changing a thing about it this time around.
Once opened, the box reveals a pretty standard but welcome set of accessories. Alongside the phone, there’s a power adapter, the classic red charging cable, and a protective case designed to match the phone’s color. It’s worth remembering that the contents can sometimes change depending on where you live; what we see in this Chinese version might be slightly different from what arrives in the US or Europe. Often, the Indian package is quite similar, though.
More importantly, the video gives us another close-up look at the phone itself, specifically the new Sand Storm finish. OnePlus is clearly proud of this one, mentioning an “industry-first” process they’re using to fuse a ceramic coating onto the metal frame. It sounds technical, but the goal is likely a more durable and textured feel. While other colors are probably on the way, Sand Storm is definitely the star of the show for now.

For a while, it seemed like all this hype was just for the launch in China. However, OnePlus has now confirmed that a global release is also planned. While no firm dates have been announced for any region yet, a potential clue might be hiding in plain sight. Many of the official screenshots show the date October 27, leading some to believe that could be the official launch day in China. We’ll have to wait for the official word to be sure.
