Honor is busy. New leaks say the company could add an Honor 500 duo to its lineup before the year ends. The rumor comes from well-known Weibo leaker Digital Chat Station, who points to two phones called the Honor 500 and Honor 500 Pro and says they will follow the same camera-first approach Honor has used recently.
What the leaks claim is pretty specific. Both phones are said to be light and slim, with roughly 6.5-inch screens and a strong focus on imaging. The main camera is reported to stay at 200MP, but with a different sensor than the one Honor used on the earlier models. That would keep Honor’s recent trend of high-megapixel main shooters while changing the hardware behind it.
The same tipster also mentioned an upcoming Honor GT 2 family. One or both GT 2 phones are tipped to use a 6.83-inch display, faster chips, and larger batteries than recent Honor phones. That lines up with other leaks pointing to higher-capacity cells and stronger performance for the GT 2 line.
Honor has not announced a 500 series on its press pages or product listings. Right now, the company’s official site shows its current families, but no public launch details for a 500 lineup. So, the 500 series info should be treated as leaks until Honor posts its own announcement.
Bottom line? Honor’s next moves look like sharper cameras for the 500, and bigger batteries in the GT 2
