Vivo just pulled the curtain off on two new flagships that might make you rethink what a camera phone can do. The X300 and X300 Pro landed in China yesterday, and they’re packing some serious photography muscle alongside MediaTek’s brand new Dimensity 9500 processor.
The Pro model brings Zeiss lenses to the table with a triple camera system. Its main shooter is a 50MP Sony LYT-828 sensor with gimbal stabilization, which should help when you’re trying to snap photos while walking. There’s also a 50MP ultrawide camera, and here’s where things get interesting — a massive 200MP telephoto lens that’s supposed to zoom in really far without losing detail. Up front, you get another 50MP camera for selfies.
Size matters here. The Pro has a 6.78-inch screen that refreshes at 120Hz, making scrolling feel super smooth. But what really stands out is the battery: 6,510 mAh. That’s huge. Most phones barely hit 5,000. You can charge it at 90W with a cable or go wireless at 40W. Both work pretty fast.
The regular X300 takes a different route. It’s smaller with a 6.31-inch display, which is nice if you don’t want a massive phone in your pocket. Weighs just 190 grams too. This one swaps the camera setup — it gets a 200MP Samsung sensor as the main camera instead of the Sony one, plus a 50MP telephoto and 50MP ultrawide. The battery is a bit smaller at 6,040 mAh but still bigger than most phones out there.
Both phones run Android 16 with Vivo’s OriginOS 6 on top. They also come with IP68 and IP69 ratings, so they can handle water and dust with ease. There’s an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner built into the display too.
MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chip powers everything here. It’s their newest processor built on 3nm technology, which basically means better performance while using less battery. Vivo paired it with their V3+ imaging chip to handle all that camera processing.
The X300 is available in four shades — Free Blue, Comfortable Purple, Pure Black, and a unique tone dubbed Lucky Colour. The Pro edition gets Wilderness Brown, Simple White, Free Blue, and Pure Black.
For now, both models are exclusive to the Chinese market. India might see them sometime between early and mid-December, according to some reports, but Vivo hasn’t made it official yet.
