It looks like vivo is ready to show off its next phone. After some hints and teases, the company’s Indian division just confirmed the vivo V60e’s launch date is set for October 7 at 12 PM local time.
We don’t have every single detail yet, but vivo has shared some of the most interesting parts. The biggest news is definitely the camera. The V60e will have a huge 200MP main camera on the back. That’s a pretty big sensor. It’ll be joined by an 8MP ultrawide camera and the company’s Aura Light flash to help with portraits in low light. Even the front camera is getting a nice boost to a 50MP sensor.

vivo also mentioned a new camera trick called the AI Four-Season Portrait feature. For users in India, there will be a special “AI Festival Portrait” mode, which sounds like a nice touch.
Beyond the cameras, the phone seems built to last. It will come with a massive 6,500 mAh battery, which should easily get you through the day, and it supports quick 90W charging. They also made it tough, giving it both IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance. The phone comes in two stylish shades: Elite Purple and Noble Gold.
On the software side of things, the vivo V60e will come with Funtouch OS 15 right out of the box. What’s really great to hear is the software support. vivo is promising three major Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates, which is fantastic for a phone’s lifespan.
We’ll have to wait until next Tuesday’s event to get the full story, including the price and exactly when we can buy it.
