The iQOO 15 is shaping up to be one of the first phones to carry Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, which goes official on September 23. That alone makes it a big deal, but iQOO seems determined to give the phone a little extra flair. We’ve already seen teasers of its shifting color back, and now fresh leaks suggest it might show off a glowing LED ring wrapped neatly around the camera module.
Whether you think of it as a smart design choice or just another attention-grabbing add-on, the idea definitely makes the phone stand out. Leaked promo images also hint at a slightly chunky camera bump, and that’s because iQOO is bringing back the periscope telephoto lens after skipping it last year.
As for the rest of the package, the iQOO 15 isn’t cutting corners. The phone is rumored to come with a 6.85-inch Samsung AMOLED display, pushing QHD+ resolution and impressively high peak brightness of around 6,000 nits. The camera setup is expected to include a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto, and an ultrawide. And for power users, the battery might land somewhere between 7,000 mAh and 8,000 mAh, backed by 100W wired charging and wireless charging support.
All in all, the iQOO 15 looks like it’s going to be a mix of raw power and eye catching design. The LED ring, if it ships on the final device, could end up being more than just a gimmick — maybe useful for notifications or just a cool accent. Either way, this phone is clearly built to grab attention.
