vivo just dropped more details about the X300, and it comes with a small body, big cameras, and some pro-level hardware where it counts. The company’s product manager, Han Boxiao, has been posting official teasers on Weibo that confirm the vivo X300 will take the place of last year’s X200 Pro Mini and use a compact 6.31-inch LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh and much slimmer bezels than before.

Photography is the headline here. vivo says the standard X300 will carry a huge 200 MP main camera and an upgraded Zeiss APO telephoto that also handles tele-macro shots. On the front, the phone gets a Zeiss 50 MP autofocus selfie camera with a wide field of view, so selfies should look noticeably sharper than before. (Yes — the vivo X300 50MP selfie camera is real, per the teasers and early coverage.)
Small phones get a few comforts too. vivo confirmed the X300 will use an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner for faster, more reliable unlocking. The company also described a “high-spec” USB Type-C port; outlets reading the teasers think that likely means a USB 3.2 interface rather than the slower USB 2.0 ports used on some older models. Some reports have also mentioned LHDC wireless audio support for higher-quality Bluetooth sound, though that detail is coming via third-party reports rather than a direct product post.
Inside, the X300 looks to be a Dimensity-powered compact flagship. Benchmarks and certification listings point to the new MediaTek Dimensity 9500 on at least some X300 variants, and a China launch window is floating around mid-October (several tipsters peg October 13). Expect global availability to follow later.
Bottom line: vivo is stacking the X300 with true flagship camera parts and trimming the size for people who want a pocket-friendly phone that still performs. Pricing and exact global launch dates are not public yet, but the company’s Weibo teasers make this one of the most interesting compact flagships to watch this fall.
