Honor 400 Review: Picking a new phone can be a real headache with so many choices out there. The Honor 400, though, caught my eye for a few good reasons. It promises a big battery, a bright screen, and cameras that seem ready for everyday snaps. Curious if it actually delivers? Let’s dive in and see what this phone is really like to use.

Honor 400 Design & Build

The Honor 400 looks pretty sleek for its price. You get a glossy back with a big camera ring—definitely stands out, but it’s not too flashy. It feels light in the hand, and the edges are curved, so it’s comfy to hold. One-handed use? Totally doable, unless you have really tiny hands. The finish is smooth, but not slippery, so you probably won’t drop it the first day.

Honor 400 Display

The 6.55-inch OLED screen here is bright enough to check messages outdoors, even in sunlight. Colors pop when you’re watching YouTube or Netflix, and scrolling through Instagram feels smooth thanks to the 120Hz refresh rate. It’s honestly a step up from what you get on something like the Redmi Note 13—especially for binge-watchers.

Honor 400 Processor

Everyday stuff? No sweat with Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, Apps open fast, and switching between social, maps, and games is smooth. I didn’t notice any weird lag, even with a bunch of apps running. Light gaming is fine, but don’t expect to max out graphics on heavy games.

Honor 400 Camera

Rear Camera

Daylight photos look sharp, with colors that don’t go overboard. Portrait mode does a nice job with background blur, and skin tones look natural. In low light, it’s okay—some noise creeps in, but it’s not a dealbreaker for casual shots.

Front Camera

Selfies come out crisp in good light, but details drop a bit indoors or at night. Video calls are clear, and there’s some smoothing, but nothing too wild.

Honor 400 Battery

The 6000mAh battery easily lasts a full day—even if you’re streaming music, using maps, and snapping pics. Plug it in for 20 minutes while you get ready in the morning, and you’ll get about 50% charge. Full charge takes just under an hour.

Honor 400 Software

Runs on Android 15 with Honor’s MagicOS 13. The UI is clean, and there aren’t too many pre-installed apps, but you might want to clear out a couple you don’t need. No annoying ads popping up, which is a relief. Honor promises at least two major Android updates.

Honor 400 Audio & Haptics

Stereo speakers are actually loud enough for movie nights in bed. Bass is decent, but don’t expect miracles. Haptics are soft—nothing too clicky or strong, but you’ll feel them for notifications.

Final Verdict

The Honor 400 is a solid pick if you want a stylish, everyday phone with a bright screen and battery that won’t quit. It’s great for social media, streaming, and daily use. Not the best for night photography or if you need an ultra-wide camera. If you’re after a reliable mid-ranger with clean software and fast charging, this one’s worth a look.
