The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 is coming soon, and it’s packed with cool features that make it easy—and fun—for anyone to use, even kids! Here’s everything you need to know.

What’s Fresh in the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8?

Samsung will launch the Galaxy Watch 8 in early July 2025. This new smartwatch will come out at the same time as the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 phones. Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 8 runs on the Exynos W1000 chip. This chip is super fast and helps the watch run smoothly, so your apps and games work without any lag.

The Exynos W1000 chip has five parts called “cores.” Four of them are ARM Cortex-A55 cores that go up to 1.5 GHz, and one is a Cortex-A78 core that goes up to 1.6 GHz. That means the watch runs smoothly and can multitask like a pro. It also uses a Mali-G68 MP2 graphics chip and speedy LPDDR5 memory, so everything looks sharp and loads fast. The chip is made with a smart 3nm process, which helps the battery last longer.

A Fresh Look and Classic Feel

The Galaxy Watch 8 will bring back the Classic model. This version has a special “squircle” shape—a mix between a square and a circle—that looks modern but still keeps the round screen everyone loves. The Classic model also brings back the famous rotating bezel. This is a ring around the watch face that you can turn to scroll through menus. It’s fun and easy to use, especially for kids and anyone who likes simple controls.

Bigger Screen, Strong Battery

The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is expected to have a 1.5-inch screen. That’s big enough to see your messages, games, or health stats clearly. The watch is about 46 x 46.5 x 14.2 mm in size, so it fits nicely on most wrists. It’s got a 450 mAh battery that easily keeps you going all day without needing a recharge.

New Software and Fun Features

The Galaxy Watch 8 will run on One UI 8 Watch, which is based on the new Wear OS 6. This means you’ll get new watch faces, smoother animations, and even smarter health tracking. There’s also a special app called Facer coming back, so you can make your watch face look just the way you want.
