Samsung Galaxy M36 Official Launch Set for June 27 Here’s Everything We Know

Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy M36 5G will officially launch in India on June 27, 2025, at 12 PM IST. The device is positioned as a mid-range option in the Galaxy M series, with some thoughtful upgrades over last year’s M35 — especially in build quality and software.

Samsung Galaxy M36 Official Launch Set for June 27

Let’s walk through what this phone offers.

Samsung Galaxy M36 Design & Build

The Galaxy M36 brings a refreshing mix of new colors and a sturdier frame. It comes in Orange Haze, Velvet Black, and Serene Green, giving buyers a bold and clean palette to choose from.

Samsung also added Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the front for better scratch protection, and claims the phone can survive drops from up to 2 meters — a rare feature at this price range. That’s a clear step up from the Galaxy M35, which lacked both high-end glass and this kind of drop resistance.

Samsung Galaxy M36 Display

While Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed all the display specs, what we do know is:

  • The screen features a notch design this time (instead of the punch-hole in M35)
  • It uses Gorilla Glass Victus+ for extra durability

Expect a large AMOLED panel with smooth refresh rates — similar to previous M-series models — but we’ll have full details once the phone is live.

Samsung Galaxy M36 Processor

Powering the M36 is Samsung’s own Exynos 1380 chip, according to a Geekbench listing. It’s the same chip used in some Galaxy A-series phones and is built for:

  • Daily tasks like browsing, video calls, and social media
  • Smooth multitasking with 6GB of RAM

It won’t compete with high-end processors, but for most everyday users, it’s more than capable.

Samsung Galaxy M36 Camera

Rear Camera:

The M36 features a triple rear camera setup, including:

  • 50 MP main sensor with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) – this helps reduce blur in photos and videos, especially in low light or when your hands move.
  • 8 MP ultrawide – great for group shots or wide landscapes.
  • 2 MP macro camera – used for close-up detail, though results are usually just average at this level.

Front Camera:

The front selfie camera is 13 MP, placed inside a notch at the top of the screen. This is a design shift from last year’s hole-punch style, and while it’s not a huge change, some may find the notch more noticeable.

Samsung Galaxy M36 Battery

While the exact battery size hasn’t been listed yet, based on the M-series trend, we can expect around 6,000mAh — likely with 25W fast charging.

Samsung’s M series is known for long battery life, so the M36 should easily last more than a day on a full charge with regular use.

Galaxy M36 Software

Out of the box, the Galaxy M36 will ship with Android 15, running One UI 7 — Samsung’s latest software skin. That’s a big deal, as not many phones under INR20,000 launch with the newest Android version.

One UI 7 brings smoother animations, better privacy tools, and some visual polish, making the experience feel more premium.

Galaxy M36 Audio & Haptics

Samsung hasn’t shared specifics here, but based on previous M-series phones:

  • You can expect stereo speakers or at least a loud mono speaker
  • The haptics (vibration feedback) are usually basic — not top-tier, but functional

Galaxy M36 Price and Availability

The Samsung Galaxy M36 5G will go on sale in India via Amazon, starting June 27, 2025. Pricing details will be revealed at launch, but it’s expected to fall in the INR18,000–22,000 range for the base model.

Why Buy?

  • Built to last with Gorilla Glass Victus+ and 2m drop protection
  • Latest Android 15 and One UI 7 out of the box
  • OIS-enabled 50MP main camera for better low-light photos
  • Likely big battery for 1–2 days of use
  • Fresh design and color options that stand out

Why Skip It?

  • Notch design may feel outdated to some
  • Same chipset as many earlier Samsung mid-range phones
  • Macro camera offers limited real-world use
  • Stereo speakers and fast charging not yet confirmed

Final Thoughts

The Samsung Galaxy M36 5G looks like a smart, reliable upgrade in the M-series. It adds thoughtful features like improved durability and Android 15, which are rare at this price point. If you want a phone that’s dependable, future-ready, and won’t empty your wallet — this could be a strong pick.
