Honor just made its Honor 400 China series phones way better for people in China. After launching these phones worldwide in Paris last month, the company brought them to China with some amazing improvements that make them much more powerful and long-lasting.
What Makes the Chinese Version Special
The biggest change is the battery. Both the Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro now come with massive 7,200mAh batteries. That’s almost 2,000mAh more than the global versions. This means your phone will last much longer between charges.
The Honor 400 China series also got a brain upgrade. Instead of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip used worldwide, the Chinese version uses the newer and faster Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor. The Honor 400 Pro keeps its powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.
Screen and Design Changes
Both phones now have 6.55-inch AMOLED screens instead of the larger screens on global models. This makes them easier to hold and use with one hand. The screens still look amazing with FHD+ quality and smooth 120Hz refresh rates.

The camera design also changed. The Honor 400 in China has a more traditional rectangular camera bump instead of the unique triangular shape used on global models.
Better Protection and Storage
Good news for clumsy phone users. The Chinese versions now come with stronger water and dust protection, rated IP68 and IP69. The global Honor 400 only had IP65/66 protection. This means the Chinese versions can handle water and dust much better.
You get plenty of space. The Honor 400 Pro packs up to 16GB RAM and a huge 1TB of storage. Even the regular Honor 400 gives you up to 512GB — more than enough for most people
Camera System Stays Strong
The camera setup remains the same as the global versions. Both phones have a 200MP main camera with image stabilization and a 12MP ultrawide camera. The Pro model adds a 50MP telephoto camera for 3x zoom photos.
Pricing and Colors
The Honor 400 starts at just 2,499 Chinese yuan (about $347) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model. The top version with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage costs 2,999 yuan ($416).
The Honor 400 Pro begins at 3,399 yuan ($472) for 12GB/256GB and goes up to 4,499 yuan ($624) for the maximum 16GB/1TB configuration.
Color options include Sea Breeze Blue, Moonlight Silver, Magic Night Black, and a fresh new shade called Quicksand Pink.
