Vivo X Fold 4 Leaks: Ultra-Light Design, Huge Battery, and Flagship Specs Revealed
Image: Vivo

Fresh leaks suggest that the Vivo X Fold 4 will feature a slimmer and lighter design, all while maintaining strong performance and battery life. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the foldable will have an improved hinge and an IPX8 water resistance rating. If these details hold up, it could become one of the best foldables we’ve seen yet.

Vivo X Fold 4: Design & Build

Vivo’s really raising the stakes with the X Fold 4. Leaks suggest it’ll be noticeably lighter and thinner than its predecessor, even with a bigger battery. It’s set to have a solid, premium build, and the hinge system is getting a nice upgrade to help reduce the crease while improving durability. There’s also an IPX8 water resistance rating, which is higher than the previous model’s IPX4. This means it will hold up better to water exposure. Plus, it’s keeping that sleek design with a pressure-sensitive three-stage button — a first for Vivo.

Vivo X Fold 4: Display

The display is where things get really exciting. The X Fold 4 will feature a big foldable LTPO AMOLED screen, measuring 8.2 inches. You’ll get a resolution of 1916 x 2160, paired with a 144Hz refresh rate for buttery-smooth visuals. HDR10+ support and a peak brightness of 1800 nits will ensure vibrant colors and great outdoor visibility. The display features a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 1600 nits, ensuring a smooth experience when using the phone in its folded state. Minimal bezels and a smart hinge design will help you get the most out of the screen, whether it’s folded or unfolded.

Vivo X Fold 4: Processor

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and the Adreno 750 GPU power the X Fold 4. This is a huge upgrade, bringing both performance and efficiency improvements. The octa-core CPU means smooth multitasking, gaming, and productivity. You’ll have at least 12GB of RAM, plus UFS 4.0 storage for lightning-fast app launches and file transfers.

Vivo X Fold 4: Camera

Rear Camera

For photography, the X Fold 4 packs a triple-camera system. You get a 50MP wide-angle sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens for zooming, and another 50MP ultra-wide camera for those landscape shots. With features like OIS and Zeiss optics, it’s all about getting sharp, vibrant images, even in lower light.

Front Camera

Selfies are handled by a 32MP front-facing camera, plus another 32MP cover camera for quick shots while the phone’s folded. Both cameras can shoot 1080p video, so expect crystal-clear video calls and selfies.

Vivo X Fold 4: Battery

The X Fold 4 comes with a large 6,000mAh battery, a solid step up from the previous model’s 5,500mAh. You’ll get 80W fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse charging, so you won’t be worrying about running out of juice any time soon. The charging speeds mean you’ll get power back in no time, and wireless charging makes life that much easier.

Vivo X Fold 4: Software

Vivo’s OriginOS 4 overlay will be pre-installed on Android 14. This combination should bring a smooth and flexible user experience, plus extra features for multitasking and handling the foldable screen.

Vivo X Fold 4: Audio & Haptics

Vivo is making sure you don’t miss out on audio quality either. Expect stereo speakers with support for premium codecs like aptX HD and FLAC. No 3.5mm jack here, but you’ll still get great sound with wireless headphones. Haptic feedback is also improved to give you a more premium, tactile feel when using the phone.
