HONOR Power Launches with 8,000mAh Battery and Snapdragon 7 Gen 3

HONOR just launched the HONOR Power — a phone with a beastly 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, 1.5K OLED display, and Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. Here’s what makes it one of the most power-packed phones in 2025.

HONOR Power: A Battery Beast in a Slim Shell

If you’ve ever wished your phone could go a full two days without flinching, HONOR might’ve just granted your wish. The brand’s latest smartphone, HONOR Power, is making headlines — not for a flashy camera or foldable screen, but for its massive 8,000mAh battery.

And no, it doesn’t look like a brick.

So, What’s New Here?

Silicon-Carbon Battery = Way More Juice
Let’s start with the star of the show. HONOR Power packs an 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, a serious upgrade over the usual lithium packs we’re used to.

In case you’re wondering:

  • That’s double the battery size of the Galaxy S25.
  • It even outpaces the iPad Air (29.6Wh vs. iPad’s 28.93Wh).

HONOR says the battery can handle:

  • 25 hours of video streaming
  • 23.5 hours of GPS navigation
  • 14 hours of gaming
Pretty wild for a phone that doesn’t look like a power bank.

Long-Term Life? Yep.

HONOR claims this battery should last for six years before needing replacement. Technically, that’s about 1,000 full charge cycles before it dips below 80% capacity — which is pretty solid in today’s fast-aging battery world.

Surprisingly Slim and Light

Despite the jumbo cell inside, HONOR kept the phone impressively sleek:

  • 7.98mm thick (excluding the camera bump)
  • 209 grams in weight

So you won’t need cargo pants to carry this one.

Fast Charging, But No Wireless

The phone supports 66W wired charging, which can take it from near-empty to full in around 68 minutes (HONOR’s number is based on charging from 3%).
No wireless charging, though — a bit of a bummer for some.

Solid, Not Flashy Specs

Here’s what else you get:

12GB + 512GB¥2,499 ($340) / Promo: ¥2,124 ($289)

No official word on global availability yet. HONOR told Android Authority that they’ll reveal more “in due course.”

Let’s hope the massive battery doesn’t get trimmed down for international models. Fingers crossed.

Should You Care?

If you’re constantly running out of battery and hate carrying power banks, the HONOR Power could be a game-changer.
It’s not a flagship killer in terms of camera or performance — but that battery life-to-design ratio is hard to beat.

Final Verdict

The HONOR Power is proof that phones don’t need to compromise size for better battery life — especially with new battery tech like silicon-carbon.

It’s the kind of phone that doesn’t just keep up — it outlasts.

Now let’s see if it makes it out of China with the same supercharged specs.
