Nothing has confirmed the Phone 3a Lite is launching in India on Thursday, November 27, 2025. The announcement comes roughly a month after its international debut, which lines up with the company’s usual rhythm of going global first, then locking in India dates. If you’ve been waiting for a more affordable Nothing with the see-through vibe, this is the one to watch.
This is Nothing’s first budget model under its own brand instead of CMF. That matters because you get the familiar transparent back glass and clean Nothing OS look, not the colorful, swappable panels CMF favors. It feels like the “starter” Nothing many people asked for.
On the hardware front, the Nothing Phone 3a Lite shares a lot with the CMF Phone 2 Pro. You get a 6.77‑inch 1080p AMOLED screen with a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset, a 5,000 mAh battery, and 33 W wired charging. Storage and RAM options mirror the CMF sibling too, so day-to-day speed and battery life should be very similar. That’s a solid baseline for a phone that aims to stay friendly on price.
Design and feel see clear brand differences. The Phone 3a Lite sticks to the transparent back aesthetic Nothing is known for. It is thicker and heavier than the CMF Phone 2 Pro, which you’ll notice the first time you pick it up, but the look is pure Nothing and that’s the point here.
Cameras are where the real trade happens. Both phones line up on the main, ultra-wide, and selfie cameras. The change is the zoom. The CMF Phone 2 Pro has a 50 MP 2x telephoto. The Nothing Phone 3a Lite swaps that for a 2 MP macro. So you lose lossless 2x shots. Most people rely on 2x zoom more than macro, so expect that to be the difference you feel most in photos. If your shots are usually at 1x and ultra-wide, you probably won’t miss the telephoto much.
