Well, it looks like Samsung decided to quietly add a new phone to its lineup without much fuss. The company has officially listed the Samsung Galaxy M07 on its Indian website, confirming its existence and all of its details.
Looking at the page, it’s a pretty straightforward budget device. The phone is built around a large 6.7-inch LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, which should make scrolling feel a little smoother than older phones. For taking pictures, you get a 50-megapixel main camera on the back, helped by a small 2-megapixel depth sensor. An 8-megapixel camera on the front handles selfies.
Inside, the whole thing is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chip, a reliable processor for everyday tasks, but it is 4G only. This is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, though you can easily add more with a microSD card. A big 5,000 mAh battery keeps the lights on. It’s also nice to see that Samsung included some practical features like a standard 3.5mm headphone jack and a fingerprint sensor. The phone is also IP54 rated, meaning it can handle a bit of dust and a few splashes of water.
Now, if you’re looking at the Samsung Galaxy M07 specs and getting a strong sense of déjà vu, you’re definitely onto something. This phone is, for all intents and purposes, identical to the Galaxy A07 4G that launched back in August. It’s basically a rebranded Galaxy A07 4G, just carrying the M-series tag
One of the biggest selling points for this budget phone is its software support: six OS upgrades and six years of security updates — something rarely seen at this price
For now, the Galaxy M07 is only shown in a black color. You can’t buy it just yet, but you can ask to be notified on Samsung’s website once it becomes available.
