vivo just set the stage for its next big smartphone launch. The X300 series will officially debut on October 13 in China. The event is scheduled for 7 PM local time.
This new lineup includes two phones: the standard X300 and the more powerful X300 Pro. Both will be among the first devices to run on MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9500 processor. That’s a significant move, showing vivo’s confidence in the chipset right out of the gate. They will also ship with Android 16, overlaid with vivo’s own OriginOS 6. We’ll get a full look at this new software on October 10, just a few days before the phone launch.
The regular X300 looks sleek. vivo says it will be just 7.95mm thick and will feature a 6.31-inch display. It’s coming in four different colors, which should give people some nice options. The Pro model, shown in black and gold, is the real headliner, though. A video from a vivo product manager spilled some key details about a special Satellite Edition of the X300 Pro.

This version is seriously loaded. It will have a massive 16GB of RAM, a full 1TB of fast UFS 4.1 storage, and a huge 6,510 mAh battery. That battery size is unusual for a flagship phone and could mean exceptional battery life. The phone will also use vivo’s own VS1 and V3+ chips to handle imaging and other tasks.
The same video also showed off some impressive benchmark scores for the X300 Pro, hinting at top-tier performance. It’s clear vivo is aiming for the top of the Android market with this device.
But that’s not all happening on October 13. vivo is planning a full ecosystem launch. The event will also see the introduction of the vivo Pad5e tablet, the vivo TWS 5 earbuds, and the vivo Watch GT 2. It’s shaping up to be a busy day for tech fans. We should learn more about all these products as the launch date gets closer.
When it comes to pricing, the Vivo X series usually sits between the premium mid-range and flagship bracket in China. Early estimates suggest the standard Vivo X300 could launch at around CNY 3,500 (approx. ₹40,000 / $480 / €455), while the beefier Pro version may push past CNY 4,500 (around ₹52,000 / $620 / €590).
