The HMD Pulse 2 Pro just got fully exposed thanks to an early listing from a Swiss retailer. We’re talking complete specs, official images, and even pricing details.
This budget-friendly phone is set to make its official debut at IFA Berlin this week. But honestly, there’s not much left to announce since pretty much everything leaked already.
HMD switched things up with the Pulse 2 Pro’s camera setup. The new dual-tone finish looks pretty clean, and they moved the two camera sensors into a vertical stack with the LED flash. It’s definitely a step up from the original design.
You get two color options here: classic black and a green variant. The phone measures 166.14 x 76.58 x 8.3mm and weighs 198 grams. Not exactly lightweight, but reasonable for a budget device with a big battery.
The front sports a 6.72-inch IPS LCD screen with FHD+ resolution. There’s a punch hole cutout for the selfie camera, though the bottom bezel is pretty thick. That’s typical budget phone territory, so no surprises there.
Inside, HMD went with the Unisoc T615 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage. The storage expands via microSD card, which is always nice to see. This setup should handle daily tasks just fine, though don’t expect flagship-level performance.
Here’s where things get more exciting. The main rear camera packs 50MP with optical image stabilization. OIS on a budget phone? That’s actually impressive and should help with low-light photos and video stability.
The front camera also hits 50MP, which seems really good for selfies and video calls. Most budget phones usually skimp on the front-facing camera, so this is a pleasant surprise.
The Pulse 2 Pro runs Android 15 right out of the box. Getting the latest Android version on a budget device is always a win for security updates and new features.
Battery capacity is 5,000mAh, but the details of charging speed were not announced. Still, that is enough juice to last all day, particularly with the Unisoc processor.
The Swiss listing shows CHF 169, which converts to roughly $211 or €180. For what you’re getting here, that seems like solid value.
HMD should officially announce the Pulse 2 Pro during IFA Berlin this week. Expect more information about availability and possibly additional color choices during the official launch.
The leaked specs show a solid budget phone that doesn’t skimp on features. The dual 50MP cameras and Android 15 stand out in this price range.
