Realme just dropped some big news that has smartphone fans buzzing. The company officially announced that its new Realme 15T will hit Indian stores on September 2nd at noon, and honestly, this phone looks pretty interesting.
What catches your eye first is how much this thing looks like an iPhone 16 Pro. Realme isn’t even trying to hide it. The design is so similar that you might do a double-take. But here’s the thing – while it borrows Apple’s look, the Realme 15T actually beats the iPhone on some specs.
The phone measures just 7.79mm thick and weighs 181 grams. Compare that to the iPhone 16 Pro’s 8.3mm thickness and 199-gram weight, and Realme actually managed to make their version slimmer and lighter. That’s pretty impressive when you consider what’s packed inside.

Speaking of what’s inside, the Realme 15T launch date brings us a phone with some serious battery power. We’re talking about a massive 7,000mAh battery that Realme calls their “Titan battery.” Most phones these days struggle to last a full day, but this one promises over 25 hours of YouTube watching and more than 13 hours of gaming. The company claims you can get 128 hours of Spotify streaming too, which sounds almost too good to be true.
The MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Max chip powers everything. It’s not the fastest processor out there, but it should handle daily tasks just fine. Paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage, most people won’t have complaints about performance.
Camera-wise, Realme went with dual 50MP setups – one on the back and one on the front. Both cameras come with AI features like AI Edit Genie, AI Snap Mode, and various soft light filters. The company really seems to be pushing the AI angle hard.
The 6.57-inch AMOLED display hits 4,000 nits of peak brightness, which should make it readable even in bright sunlight. With 10-bit color depth and 120Hz refresh rate, watching videos or scrolling through apps should feel smooth.
Durability gets attention too. The Realme 15T has IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, meaning it can handle water, dust, and even some extreme conditions. That’s triple protection most phones don’t offer.
Color options include Flowing Silver, Silk Blue, and Suit Titanium. The Flowing Silver variant gets special treatment with what Realme calls “nano-scale microcrystalline lithography” for a textured finish that resists fingerprints.
Here’s where things get really interesting – the price. Realme confirmed the 15T will cost under INR20,000 ($225/€195) in India. Various sources suggest different pricing tiers, with some expecting around INR16,999 for the base model and up to INR24,999 for the top variant. That puts serious pressure on competitors in the budget smartphone space.
The phone runs Android 15 out of the box and comes with promises of three major OS updates plus four years of security patches. It’s not quite iPhone-level support, but it’s decent for an Android phone in this price range.
Realme plans to sell the 15T through their official website, Flipkart, and regular retail stores across India. No word yet on exact sale dates, but expect it to be available shortly after the September 2nd launch event.
This launch comes right after Realme introduced the regular 15 and 15 Pro models, making the 15T the third member of their latest smartphone family. With its iPhone-inspired looks, massive battery, and aggressive pricing, the Realme 15T might just shake up the budget phone market when it arrives next week.
