HMD Vibe2 Specs, Price, and Colors Revealed Before Launch

HMD Vibe2

HMD has a new budget phone on the way, and it’s already showing up online. The HMD Vibe2 looks like a simple daily phone with a big screen, clean Android, and a battery made for long days. Nothing flashy—just the stuff most people actually use.

What’s inside the HMD Vibe2 and why it matters

  • Chip and network: Unisoc T606 with 4G. It’s built for everyday tasks like calls, texts, social apps, music, maps, and light gaming. Not a speed machine, but steady for basic use.
  • Battery: 5,000mAh with 10W charging. Expect a full day with normal use. Charging is slower, so it’s best to plug in overnight.
  • Display: 6.75‑inch LCD, HD+ resolution, and a 90Hz refresh rate. The higher refresh rate makes scrolling look smoother, which is something people notice right away.
  • Cameras: 50MP main camera on the back, plus two tiny helper sensors. Up front, a 5MP selfie camera sits in a waterdrop notch. Good for quick snaps and video calls.
  • Security and extras: Side fingerprint reader in the power button, microSD expansion, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Practical touches that make life easier.
  • Software: Android 15 out of the box. Clean, current, and simple to use.
  • Storage: Listed with 256GB. That’s generous for an entry‑level phone and helpful if photos and downloads pile up.
  • Colors and price: Light Titanium and Dark Grey. Expected price is around AUS$288 (about $187), which is very wallet‑friendly for a new phone.

Quick take: This is a “get things done” phone. It won’t feel fast under heavy loads, but for regular stuff—WhatsApp, Instagram, streaming, rides, banking apps—it should be just fine. The big screen and big battery are the real draws here.

Real‑life vibe

If the phone is for school, a first smartphone, a backup, or just something simple that won’t cause headaches, the Vibe2 fits that lane. The 90Hz display makes swiping feel nice, Android 15 keeps it tidy, and 256GB means fewer “storage full” alerts. The only real trade‑off is the slow 10W charging. Plan for longer charging sessions, and it won’t bug you.

More HMD phones in the pipeline

Alongside the Vibe2, a few other HMD models recently appeared in official databases:

  • HMD Fuse (TA‑1640): 4,900mAh battery, 33W charging, and IP54 splash resistance. Faster top‑ups plus basic protection is a good combo for budget buyers.
  • HMD Pulse2 (TA‑1687) and Pulse2 Pro (TA‑1695): Both list 4,900mAh batteries with 20W charging and IP54 ratings. Solid, practical specs for everyday use.

These listings suggest HMD is focused on battery life, simple software, and handy durability features, all at sensible prices.

Should you wait or buy?

If the priority is a clean, affordable phone with lots of storage and a smooth screen, the HMD Vibe2 is easy to recommend. Want faster charging or better cameras? It might be worth looking at higher‑tier models—or waiting for official pricing in more regions. But as a basic daily phone, this one checks the right boxes.
