Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro is Official – Now with a Bigger 12.5″ Display and New Xring O1 Chipset

Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro

Xiaomi just dropped something big, literally. The brand-new Pad 7S Pro 12.5 is officially out, and it’s not your average Android tablet. It’s got a larger screen, smarter design, and for the first time ever, it runs on Xiaomi’s very own processor, the Xring O1.

If that sounds like a lot of change, it is, and in a good way. Whether you’re looking to binge-watch shows, get work done, or even ditch your laptop altogether, this tablet might just be up for the job. Let’s take a closer look at what makes the Pad 7S Pro stand out.

Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro Design & Build

Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro 12.5, and it’s got some meaningful updates that feel just right. First thing you’ll notice? It’s bigger, but not bulky. The tablet now features a larger 12.5-inch screen, but the body is still slim at just 5.8mm thick. That’s even thinner than last year’s Pad 7 Pro, which was 6.2mm.

Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro

Yes, it’s slightly heavier now at 576 grams (up from 500g), but you’re getting a much larger screen and more battery, so the extra grams feel justified. It’s built with the same premium metal body, giving it that solid, reliable feel in your hands.

Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro Display

The 12.5-inch display is the heart of the update, and Xiaomi really found a sweet spot here. It’s easier to carry than a 14-inch tablet but more spacious than the usual 11-inch options.

It keeps the tall 3:2 aspect ratio that makes split-screen multitasking feel natural, especially for students or professionals. The 144Hz refresh rate means smooth scrolling, fast touch response, and a better experience whether you’re gaming, sketching, or reading. If you’re upgrading from a smaller screen, this one feels more like a real workspace.

Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro Processor

Now for the brains — the Xring O1 chipset. This is Xiaomi’s very own chip, and this tablet is the first ever to run it (outside of the Xiaomi 15S Pro phone). It’s designed specifically to handle productivity, media, and multitasking with better power efficiency.

Compared to Snapdragon chips in earlier models, the Xring O1 promises cooler operation and smoother performance during longer sessions, especially when paired with Xiaomi’s own software enhancements.

Rear Camera:

50MP for clear photos and document scans

Front Camera:

32MP (centered for better video calls)
Smart Features: Intelligence Always-On for enhanced responsiveness and adaptive actions

Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro Battery

Here’s another big improvement. The 10,610mAh battery. It’s a noticeable upgrade from the Pad 7 Pro’s 8,850mAh. Even better, it supports 120W fast charging, which is nearly twice as fast as the 67W speed in the previous model.

Translation: you’ll get a full day of use easily, and when it’s time to charge, you won’t be stuck waiting for long.

Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro Software

The tablet runs Xiaomi’s custom skin, optimized for large screens. You get a redesigned version of WPS Office that behaves more like desktop software. It also supports ZWCAD, which is useful for engineers and architects dealing with DWG files, plus CAJViewer for academic and technical document formats.

With optional accessories like the keyboard add-on, the tablet feels more like a laptop. It even supports wireless screen mirroring to a PC with low latency (just 41ms), shared keyboard and mouse control, and smooth file transfers — and yes, it works with both Windows and Mac.

Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro Audio & Haptics

Xiaomi added six speakers this time (up from four), tuned for Dolby Atmos. That means louder, richer, and more detailed sound, great for Netflix binges, YouTube, and games. The sound feels more immersive and spacious, especially when paired with the larger display.

The haptic feedback is also noticeably sharper and more responsive, which makes using the keyboard or stylus feel more natural.
