The date May 22, 2025, was a major day for Xiaomi. Along with the newly introduced 15S Pro, Pad 7 Ultra and Watch S4 eSIM, the new Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro was added to their lineup. The phone is made for people who want both style and performance at an affordable price.
Sleek Screen and Design
Pick it up, and you’ll be surprised—it’s super slim and barely adds any weight to your pocket. It is only 7.45mm thick and it weighs 184 grams. You can carry it with you every day without trouble. The 6.55-inch AMOLED display has a high resolution of 1236 by 2750 pixels and looks attractive. Because the phone’s refresh rate is 120Hz, scrolling feels very effortless. It also becomes very bright, up to 3,200 nits which helps you view it outside even in bright sunlight.

It’s great that the screen handles brightness with 2,560Hz PWM dimming. In other words, your eyes will stay comfortable for a longer period, even when you’re looking at your screen for hours.
Processor
Inside, Xiaomi put the flagship-level Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip. Everything functions well on this chip, allowing it to smoothly play games, run apps and do multiple tasks. You can choose between models that pack up to 16GB of fast LPDDR5X RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of speedy UFS 4.0 storage. You have plenty of storage for taking photos, saving apps and making videos.
Cameras
Xiaomi worked with Leica to give the Civi 5 Pro some serious photography muscle. On the back, you get three cameras:
- A 50MP main camera with a bright f/1.63 lens and optical image stabilization. This means sharper shots, even if your hands shake a little.
- Another 50MP telemacro camera that’s great for close-ups. It’s the same lens used in Xiaomi’s flagship 15, and it can focus as close as 10cm.
- A 12MP ultra-wide camera with a 120-degree field of view, perfect for big group shots or landscapes.
Up front, there’s a 50MP selfie camera with autofocus, so your selfies come out sharp every time.
Battery
The phone has a big 6,000mAh battery, which should keep you going all day without stress. When it’s time to juice up, the 67W wired charger fills the battery pretty quickly, so you’re not stuck waiting.
Software and Extras
The Civi 5 Pro runs Xiaomi’s new HyperOS 2, based on Android. It offers a smooth and friendly user experience with lots of customization options. The phone also features dual stereo speakers for better sound and an X-axis vibration motor that gives nice, responsive feedback when you tap or type.
Color Choices
If you like colors, Xiaomi has you covered. There are five stylish options:
- Nebula Purple
- Cherry Blossom Pink
- Iced Americano (a unique color with real coffee grounds in the back for a subtle aroma)
- Black
- White

If you want a phone that looks good, takes great photos, and runs fast, the Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro is a solid pick. Its Leica cameras add real value, and the large battery means less time plugged in. The unique colors, especially the Iced Americano with its subtle coffee scent, make it stand out. We’ll keep an eye out to see if Xiaomi decides to launch this phone outside China.
For now, the Civi 5 Pro is a stylish and powerful mid-range phone worth considering if you’re in the market for something fresh in 2025.
