Xiaomi’s back in the spotlight this week with a big announcement: the Xiaomi 15S Pro is set to make its official debut—alongside the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra—at the company’s upcoming launch event. CEO Lei Jun has already confirmed it, and here’s the kicker: both devices will run on Xiaomi’s first in-house flagship processor, the Xring O1. Yep, this could be a serious shake-up for the chip game.

Xiaomi 15S Pro

Design & Build

Xiaomi hasn’t spilled all the design details just yet, but there’s plenty of buzz from certifications and leaks. The 15S Pro is expected to stick with a high-end build: glass front and back, aluminum frame, and likely IP68 water/dust resistance. Think sleek curves, a punch-hole display, and that premium flagship feel Xiaomi fans are used to. In short, it’s probably going to look and feel like a proper 2025 flagship.

Display

If leaks are right, we’re getting a 6.76-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with a crisp 1440 x 3200 resolution and a buttery-smooth 165Hz refresh rate. That’s gaming-grade territory. Expect rich visuals too, thanks to HDR10+, DCI-P3 color support, and possibly a blinding 4000 nits of peak brightness. The display should be protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, keeping scratches and cracks at bay.

Processor

Here’s where things get spicy. The Xiaomi 15S Pro will launch with the Xring O1—a homegrown chip built using a 3nm process. Geekbench listings suggest it rocks a rather unique 10-core setup, clocked up to 3.90GHz, paired with an Immortalis-G925 GPU. Could it be a misread? Maybe. But performance leaks hint at the Xring O1 going toe-to-toe with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and even outperforming it in some tests. Xiaomi reportedly poured over $2 billion into developing this chip, which shows just how serious they are about breaking free from third-party silicon.

Cameras

Rear Camera:

Expect a triple 50MP setup on the back, continuing Xiaomi’s high-end imaging streak:

  • 50MP wide with OIS
  • 50MP telephoto
  • 50MP ultra-wide

Add in Leica-tuned lenses and Xiaomi’s computational photography smarts, and we’re likely looking at a photography beast.

Front Camera:

Selfie lovers will be pleased too—a 50MP front camera is expected, capable of delivering crisp selfies and high-res video.

Battery

The 15S Pro is rumored to pack a hefty 6000mAh battery, which is no joke. Better yet, it should support 120W wired charging and 80W wireless, plus reverse charging for your accessories. If battery anxiety is a thing for you, this phone might be your next favorite.

Software

You’ll get Android 14 right out of the box, layered with Xiaomi’s custom MIUI 16. Expect deep optimization for the Xring chip, enhanced AI features, and power management tweaks baked right into the system.

Audio & Haptics

While official specs haven’t been revealed here, recent Xiaomi flagships have included stereo speakers, Hi-Res audio support, and tactile vibration motors. Safe to assume the 15S Pro will check all those boxes.

Final Thoughts

The Xiaomi 15S Pro looks like a serious contender in the flagship race for 2025. It’s more than just specs—it’s a statement. With the custom Xring O1 processor, Xiaomi is stepping into Apple and Samsung territory: full-stack control over hardware and software. If the early leaks hold true, we’re getting top-tier performance, display quality, battery life, and photography.

If you’re eyeing a phone that blends cutting-edge innovation with polished design and a touch of ambition, this one’s worth watching closely.
