Vivo V50 Elite Launch

Vivo has just launched the Vivo V50 Elite Edition in India, and it’s not holding back—this phone arrives with a bold design, top-tier features, and a bunch of goodies in the box, including free TWS earbuds, a fast charger, and a protective case. From its quad-curved AMOLED display and Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip to its massive 6000mAh battery and Zeiss-backed cameras, the V50 Elite is clearly aiming to impress across the board. Here’s a deep dive into everything it brings to the table.

Design & Build

The Vivo V50 Elite Edition brings a sleek and polished look with its quad-curved AMOLED display and a super-slim 7.67mm profile. That bold Rose Red finish? It’s hard to miss. It’s not just pretty though—thanks to the Diamond Shield Glass (made with Schott), Vivo claims it’s 50% more drop-resistant than before. Thanks to its IP68 and IP69 ratings, the phone is built to handle dust, splashes, and even full-on water exposure without breaking a sweat

Display

On the front, you’re looking at a 6.77-inch AMOLED display pushing a crisp Full HD+ resolution (2392 x 1080 pixels). It runs smooth with a 120Hz refresh rate, and it gets crazy bright—up to 4500 nits. That means no squinting under sunlight. Vivo also included HDR10+ and a wide P3 color gamut, so colors pop whether you’re streaming, gaming, or doomscrolling.

Chipset

Vivo V50 Elite Edition runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, which uses an advanced 4nm process for better efficiency and performance. It’s paired with the Adreno 720 GPU, which handles games and multitasking like a champ. You get 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and a generous 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage, although there’s no microSD slot if that matters to you.

Rear Camera

The rear camera system benefits from a collaboration with Zeiss, delivering impressive photo quality. Vivo packed in two 50MP lenses—one standard with OIS and one ultra-wide with a 119° field of view. You also get cool extras like Zeiss Portrait Styles, Wedding Portrait mode, and AI Studio Light Portrait 2.0. It’s a surprisingly pro-level setup for a non-flagship phone.

Selfie Camera

Selfie lovers aren’t left out either. The front hosts a 50MP wide-angle lens with autofocus, so your selfies are sharp and well-lit. Zeiss optics and AI Facial Contouring are also baked in, meaning even your impromptu shots can look Instagram-ready without filters.

Battery

The huge 6000mAh silicon-carbon battery Vivo promises longer runtimes without the constant need to charge. And when you do run low, the 90W FlashCharge kicks in to juice things up fast. It’s built for heavy users who hate being tethered to the wall.

Software

Funtouch OS 15, which is built on Android 15, is included out of the box. It’s got some AI tricks like Live Call Translation and Transcript Assist, and a “Circle to Search” feature for intuitive browsing. Vivo guarantees three years of Android version upgrades and four years of security updates, offering strong long-term support for users.

Audio & Haptics

Sound-wise, you’re getting stereo speakers that actually pack a punch. Even better, Vivo includes a pair of TWS 3e earbuds in Dark Indigo right in the box. Tactile feedback is also upgraded with an X-axis linear motor, which gives vibrations more precision and depth.
