Vivo Pad5 Pro & Pad SE Full Specs — Here's What to Expect
Image: vivo

vivo is set to launch two new Android tablets — the premium vivo Pad 5 Pro and the budget-friendly Pad SE — on April 21. Here’s everything we know so far, including key specs, standout features, and what makes each model different.

Two New vivo Tablets Are Coming — Here’s the Scoop

vivo isn’t just dropping new smartphones on April 21 — it’s also stepping up its tablet game. The vivo Pad 5 Pro and the Pad SE are expected to launch with the X200 Ultra and X200s, and thanks to a fresh leak from Weibo, we’ve now got a pretty solid look at what both tablets will bring to the table.

Let’s break it down, nice and simple.

vivo Pad 5 Pro: Big Screen, Big Power

This one’s the flagship. And it looks like vivo isn’t messing around here.

Here’s what’s expected:

  • 13-inch LCD display, with a sharp 3.1K resolution, buttery-smooth 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 1200 nits of peak brightness. Perfect for content creators or entertainment lovers who want crisp visuals and fast response.
  • MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chip — not the newer “+” version, interestingly, but still powerful enough to handle games, multitasking, and high-res video editing.
  • Up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, which should be more than enough for most heavy users.
  • 12,050mAh battery with 66W fast charging. That’s a beefy battery. Expect all-day use and then some, with a pretty quick top-up when needed.
  • 8 speakers, likely with spatial audio tuning, for a more immersive sound experience.

It’s also coming in two versions:

  • Standard: 635g
  • Ultra-light: just 578g and super thin at 5.94mm
  • Colors: Blue, gray, pink, and white — vivo’s going for a clean, soft-touch aesthetic here.

vivo Pad SE: A Lighter, Cheaper Option That Still Delivers

If the Pro is too much for your needs (or your wallet), the Pad SE could be a better fit.

Here’s what you’ll get:

  • 12.3-inch display, with 2.5K resolution and a still-smooth 90Hz refresh rate. Slightly less sharp and fluid than the Pro, but still great for everyday stuff.
  • Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip — not a powerhouse, but fine for browsing, streaming, and light productivity.
  • Up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage — enough for casual users.
  • 8,500mAh battery with 15W wired charging. Not the fastest, but this is an entry-level tablet.
  • 4 speakers, which should do the job for Netflix or YouTube, though not as punchy as the 8 on the Pro.

Also in two variants:

  • One is 6.87mm thick, 569g
  • The lighter one is 6.8mm, just 559g
  • Colors: Blue, Titanium, and gray

Final Thoughts

vivo is clearly trying to cover both ends of the Android tablet market here. The Pad 5 Pro feels like a direct shot at devices like the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro or Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE, while the Pad SE aims to be that affordable go-to for people who just want a solid, no-fuss tablet.

The official launch is just around the corner — April 21 — so we’ll know soon enough how these specs translate into real-world performance.

Until then, this leak gives us a pretty good idea of where vivo’s headed. And honestly? These tablets could be worth watching.
