Oppo Find X9 Pro Leak: 200MP Periscope Lens Could Replace Dual Telephoto Setup

Oppo Find X9 Pro Leak

Oppo has important changes planned for its upcoming Oppo Find X9 Pro flagship model. While the official launch is still months away — likely in October, if they stick to the same cycle as last year’s Find X8 Pro — early leaks from multiple trusted Chinese sources indicate the camera section will undergo a complete redesign.

A New Approach to Zoom Photography

According to multiple sources on Weibo, Oppo is ditching its previous dual periscope camera setup and going for a single 200MP periscope telephoto lens this time around. That’s a bold shift, especially considering the Find X8 Pro had two separate zoom lenses to handle mid and long-range shots.

The big number here — 200 megapixels — suggests this new sensor might be Samsung’s ISOCELL HP9, which is currently being adopted by several Chinese flagship brands. If that’s the case, Oppo could be banking on this one powerful zoom sensor to handle everything from 3x to 10x zoom digitally, while keeping optical performance tight at the mid-range.

If you’ve ever been frustrated by fuzzy zoom shots or low-light detail loss, this change could be a win. Less complexity in the hardware might also mean better processing and faster image capture overall.

Oppo Find X9 Pro Processor

Reports indicate that Oppo Find X9 Pro will launch with the new Dimensity 9500 chipset from MediaTek. It’s a follow-up to last year’s Dimensity 9400, which powered the Find X8 Pro — and early reports suggest the 9500 will bring efficiency boosts and faster AI image processing. The updated camera hardware would benefit from this feature.

So far, no word on RAM, storage, or battery details from trusted sources. Earlier leaks mentioned huge battery numbers and high-wattage charging, but none of those have been verified by credible insiders — so it’s best to wait before assuming Oppo’s going full tablet mode on battery capacity.

Flat Display for All Models?

Another interesting leak from Weibo claims that the entire Find X9 lineup — including the base, Pro, Plus, and Ultra variants — will feature flat displays. That’s a noticeable shift from the curved panels we’ve seen on earlier models. Flat screens usually mean fewer accidental touches and cleaner protection with screen guards, so it could be a practical move.

What This Means for You

In a world where smartphone camera upgrades are often just software tweaks, Oppo’s rumored switch to a single ultra-high-res periscope sensor feels like a deliberate step forward. If they get the image tuning right, the Find X9 Pro might end up being one of the most capable zoom shooters of 2025.

It’s too early to talk pricing or availability, but with Oppo expected to stick to its usual fall launch window, we’ll likely hear more in the next couple of months — and hopefully get confirmation straight from the company soon.

Final Thoughts

Oppo seems to be focusing less on gimmicks and more on practical camera hardware this time, with one seriously powerful zoom lens potentially replacing two. Combined with MediaTek’s newest chipset and a possible move to flat displays across the board, the Oppo Find X9 Pro might just be Oppo’s cleanest, smartest flagship yet.

Stay tuned — we’ll be watching for more confirmed details as we inch closer to launch season.
