Oppo Find X8 Ultra

Oppo’s not messing around this year — the Find X8 Ultra just landed, and yeah, it’s kind of a beast. It launched in China first, but if you’ve been eyeing alternatives to the Galaxy S25 Ultra or Xiaomi 15 Ultra, you’ll want to pay attention. This thing is loaded.

Oppo Find X8 Ultra: Design & Build

No wild curves or gimmicky textures here. The Find X8 Ultra is sleek and simple. The back is clean, the edges are soft, and the camera module doesn’t scream for attention like some others do.

Thanks to Gorilla Glass Victus 2 with IP68/IP69 ratings, and feels quite comfortable to hold

Oppo Find X8 Ultra: Display

You’re looking at a 6.82-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with LTPO tech and a 120Hz refresh rate. Translation? Everything from scrolling to gaming feels smooth as butter. It’s not the brightest out there (2,500 nits peak), but unless you live on the sun, you’re good. It holds up fine even under direct sunlight.

You also get Dolby Vision and HDR support, which makes videos pop — deep blacks, rich colors, all the good stuff.

Oppo Find X8 Ultra: Performance

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 “Elite” CPU with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. Yep, 1TB on a phone. Wild.

Apps fly, games run buttery smooth, and it barely heats up. You get Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and strong GPS tracking too. Basically, it’s got flagship muscle without the drama.

Oppo Find X8 Ultra: Cameras

Oppo invested heavily in the camera configuration.

Rear Camera:

  • Main cam: A giant 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor with a variable aperture — that means better low-light shots and more detail.
  • Zoom: Two 50MP telephoto lenses with optical zoom (3x and 6x) and OIS.
  • Ultra-wide: Another 50MP shooter with a 120° view.
  • True Chroma sensor: Helps with super accurate colors and white balance.

Front Camera:

The Oppo Find X8 Ultra’s 32MP front camera comes with autofocus and 4K video recording. This means your selfies will look sharp and natural.

There’s also Hasselblad tuning, so skin tones and color accuracy are on point. And if you’re into video, it does 4K at 120fps. Ultra-steady shots.

Oppo Find X8 Ultra: Battery

The 6,100mAh battery is a beast. Even with extensive use, it easily lasts a full day. And when it’s low, the 100W wired charging gets you to 100% in around 25 minutes. 50W wireless charging with 10W reverse charging. Handy when your earbuds need a boost.

Oppo Find X8 Ultra: Software

It runs ColorOS 15 on top of Android 15. Oppo’s UI has cleaned up a lot — fewer annoying pre-installed apps, better memory management, and some AI features that are actually useful (like photo cleanup and note summarizing).

Oppo Find X8 Ultra: Audio & Haptics

Loud, clear stereo speakers. Deep bass, crisp highs — perfect for music, games, or bingeing Netflix. The haptics are precise too, giving a satisfying feel when typing or navigating.

Why Buy the Oppo Find X8 Ultra?

  • Amazing camera setup — Pro-level shots without pro-level effort
  • Giant, sharp AMOLED screen — Great for gaming, streaming, and everything else
  • Blazing-fast performance — No lags, even with heavy multitasking
  • Big battery + super-fast charging — Less time plugged in, more time using it
  • Premium build with dust/water resistance — Tough enough for daily life

Why Skip It?

  • No global launch yet — Only officially available in China (for now)
  • Peak brightness isn’t the best — Still good, just not top-of-the-line
  • No headphone jack or SD card slot — Common for flagships, but worth noting
  • ColorOS still isn’t everyone’s favorite — It’s cleaner now, but some quirks remain

Our Verdict

If you’re the kind of user who takes a lot of photos and plays games on the go, or just wants a big, bold flagship that doesn’t feel like a compromise — the Oppo Find X8 Ultra delivers. Sure, it’s not officially out globally yet, but if you can get your hands on one, it’s easily one of the top flagship phones of 2025.
