Motorola Razr 60 and Razr 60 Ultra Launch Set for April 24

Motorola is back Motorola Razr 60 series, and they’re making some serious waves in the foldable phone market for 2025. Motorola is investing heavily in the Razr 60 series after the popularity of the Razr 50 series. The product lineup includes the Razr 60, Razr 60 Ultra, and Razr+ (2025), with the Razr+ being the model available only in the United States, all are part of this lineup. With fresh looks, top-notch hardware, and a big focus on AI, Motorola is setting the stage for what foldables can do in the near future. Let’s dive into the details of these exciting new phones.

Motorola Razr 60 Ultra: The Ultimate Foldable

Performance

The Razr 60 Ultra is designed to deliver exceptional performance. With Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset powering it, this phone is built for serious performance. The Razr 60 alongside Razr 60 Ultra joins the U.S.-exclusive model Razr+ (2025) in this product lineup. Throw in up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of ultra-fast UFS 4.1 storage, and you’ve got a phone that can handle anything without breaking a sweat.

The display is a showstopper, too. The 7-inch pOLED LTPO screen is sharp with a 1.5K resolution, and it adapts from 1Hz to a blazing-fast 165Hz refresh rate. This means that you can enjoy scrolling that feels smooth like butter and bright images, whether you are watching your preferred show or browsing through Instagram. It gets bright too, with a peak brightness of 4,000 nits—perfect for those sunny days when you can barely see your screen. And for quick checks without opening the phone, the 4-inch QuickView display has a 120Hz refresh rate and a brightness of 3,000 nits.

Camera System & AI Magic

Motorola isn’t skimping on cameras with the Razr 60 Ultra. It’s rocking a triple-camera setup: a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide, and another 50MP front-facing camera. Yes, you read that right—50MP on both the front and back. This phone isn’t just for taking decent snaps; it’s capable of capturing 4K video as well. This foldable is perfect for those who enjoy taking pictures or videos.

But it’s not just about hardware. The Moto AI features are next-level. With tools like Catch Me Up, Pay Attention, and Remember This, Motorola is making sure your phone does more than just sit there. There’s also an AI Key for quick access, and Look & Talk, which lets you control the phone with just a look or voice. It’s a futuristic touch that’s both cool and practical when you’re busy with other tasks.

Battery & Charging

The Razr 60 Ultra comes with a solid 4,700mAh battery, which should easily last through a full day of heavy use. And if you’re in a rush, it supports 68W TurboPower fast charging and 30W wireless charging, so you’ll be up and running in no time. The efficient Snapdragon chip and LTPO display help keep power consumption in check, meaning you can use this phone all day without constantly worrying about recharging.

Motorola Razr 60: Great Performance at a Lower Price

Despite lacking the Ultra’s high-end specifications, the Razr 60 is still a powerful device. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400X chipset, it’s great for daily use without breaking the bank. The 6.96-inch Full HD+ LTPO pOLED display may not be as large as the Ultra’s, but it still offers smooth visuals with a 1Hz to 120Hz refresh rate. The 3.63-inch external display gives you a great way to check notifications without unfolding the phone. Plus, it’s covered in Gorilla Glass Victus for added durability.

When it comes to cameras, the Razr 60 has a 50MP main sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide (which also works as a macro lens for close-ups). For selfies, you’ve got a 32MP camera that’s hidden under the foldable display for clear, crisp shots.

Battery life? Solid stuff — the 4,500mAh battery supports both 30W wired and 15W wireless charging, so you’re covered either way.. Not as fast as the Ultra, but it’s more than enough for a full day of use.

Motorola Razr+ (2025): The U.S.-Exclusive Foldable

For those in the U.S., the Razr+ (2025) is the foldable to look out for. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, it features dual 50MP cameras (a main sensor and telephoto lens) and a 4,000mAh battery that supports 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. This model offers a compact 6.7-inch foldable OLED display—perfect for those who want premium performance but don’t need the full Ultra experience.

Design: Sleek and Durable

Motorola did not cut corners when it came to design. The Razr 60 Ultra has an elegant Alcantara finish developed in collaboration with the well-known Italian company. You can also opt for a wood finish if that’s more your style. As for the hinge, it’s reinforced with titanium for extra durability—so you know it’s built to last.

Both the Razr 60 and Razr 60 Ultra are rated IP48, which means they can handle a little water splash and dust. It’s a solid improvement over previous models, though not quite as robust as some fully water-resistant competitors.

Pricing & Availability

Here’s a quick look at what the Razr 60 series will cost:

  • Razr 60 Ultra: $1,300 (US) / £1,100 (UK)
  • Razr 60: Starting at $700 (US) / £800 (UK)
  • Razr+ (2025): $1,000 (US-only), available from June 3rd

Pre-orders start May 7, with full launch on May 15.

Should You Buy the Motorola Razr 60 Series?

Motorola has really upped its foldable game this year. The Razr 60 Ultra is a powerhouse with all the features you could want in a premium foldable. The regular Razr 60 offers good performance without the big price tag, while the Razr+ (2025) delivers flagship-level power for U.S. buyers.. market in a compact form.

If you’re looking for a foldable that combines cutting-edge tech, sleek design, and AI features, Motorola’s Razr 60 series is definitely worth a look. Whether you want the full Ultra experience or something more budget-friendly, there’s a model for you.
