Moto G96 India Launch Teased with OLED, Big Battery & More

Motorola just gave us a little sneak peek of a new phone coming soon to India. A teaser page has gone live on Flipkart, showing off some cool images of the phone. The name isn’t mentioned directly, but from the looks of it, especially the design and color, this is most likely the Moto G96.

Moto G96 India Launch Teased with OLED, Big Battery & More

If you’re looking for a phone that does more without costing a fortune, this one might be worth waiting for.

Fresh Design That Pops

The teaser shows the phone in some eye-catching colors. Based on earlier leaks, we may get four bold finishes, which look great without being over the top.

Also, there’s a hint that the phone will have water resistance. That means it can handle a little rain or a splash while you’re washing your hands. It’s not a feature you usually see in phones in this price range, so that’s a nice bonus.

Processor

The Moto G96 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. This is a newer processor that’s built to handle daily tasks easily, from watching YouTube, using WhatsApp, or even playing games. It’s quick, cool, and doesn’t slow down when switching between apps.

It’ll likely come with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, which is a lot of space. You can install tons of apps, take thousands of pictures, and still have room left over.

Super Smooth Display

One thing that stands out is the display. The G96 may feature a 6.67-inch OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate.

What does that mean for you? The OLED screen gives you brighter colors and better contrast, so everything looks more lively. And the 144Hz refresh rate makes scrolling and swiping feel extra smooth. Great for reading, gaming, or just browsing through your phone.

Cameras

According to early leaks, the phone is expected to come with a 50MP Sony main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. That means your photos will be sharper and more detailed. The second camera helps when you want to fit more into one shot, like a big group or a wide view.

Battery

The Moto G96 is also said to have a 5,500 mAh battery, which is big enough to easily last all day — and maybe more. Whether you’re watching videos, using Google Maps, or chatting on social media, this battery is built to keep up with you.

Fast charging is likely, too, though the exact speed hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Price and Availability

Motorola hasn’t shared the price just yet, but based on the specs and previous G-series phones, the Moto G96 could be priced around:

VariantRAM & StorageExpected Price
Base Model12GB + 256GB₹21,999 ($260)

The phone is expected to launch very soon, possibly in the first week of July 2025, since the teaser page is already live on Flipkart.

Should You Wait for Moto G96?

If the leaks match the final version, the Moto G96 could be a really solid option for anyone who wants a phone that looks good, runs fast, and takes nice photos, without breaking the bank.

It’s got a bright screen, a strong battery, and enough power for everyday use. Perfect for students, casual gamers, or just someone looking to upgrade from an older phone.

We’ll update you as soon as Motorola makes things official.
