After months of being available overseas, Honor X9c is now coming to India. The launch is confirmed for July 7, with open sales starting on July 12. It’ll be sold exclusively through Amazon.in, and for now, there’s only one variant in the lineup 8GB RAM with 256GB of storage.
Honor hasn’t shared the India price just yet, but judging by its specs and global release, it’s clearly aiming at the mid-range buyer.
Display
The X9c uses a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED screen, and it’s sharp, both in looks and feel. It refreshes at 120Hz, which just means scrolling is really fluid. Everything from Instagram feeds to YouTube thumbnails feels smooth. The resolution? 1,224p, which gives the screen plenty of clarity, even with the curved edges.
It’s not just about looks. AMOLED panels also mean better contrast and darker blacks, so binge-watching or gaming feels more immersive.
Design & Build
This one’s interesting, Honor says the X9c can survive drops from up to 2 meters. That’s about the height of a fridge. It also comes with IP65 protection, so if you spill a bit of water on it or get caught in light rain, it’s not a problem.
That makes this phone a good option for folks who aren’t always gentle with their devices.
Processor
Running on Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, the phone can handle your day-to-day stuff social apps, YouTube, light gaming — without any slowdown. It’s not a top-tier chip, but it’s reliable, and more efficient than older Snapdragon 600-series processors.
Battery life is another highlight. With a 6,600mAh battery, you’re looking at a phone that can last well over a full day on one charge. If you’re careful, maybe even two. And with 66W fast charging, you don’t need to wait long when it does run low.
Camera
You get three cameras on the back: a 108MP main sensor with OIS, a 5MP ultrawide, and a 16MP selfie camera up front. The main camera is the one that does most of the work, and it’s decent. OIS helps keep your shots steady, even if your hands aren’t.
Ultrawide is okay for scenery or group pics, though it’s not the sharpest. The selfie cam does fine in good lighting, ideal for video calls and quick Instagram stories.
Software
The Honor X9c will ship with Android 15, topped with MagicOS 9.0. So you’re getting Google’s latest system features plus Honor’s own improvements. MagicOS looks clean and smooth, without too much bloat. And Android 15 adds some small but useful upgrades to privacy, battery use, and notifications.
It’s nice to see a mid-range phone shipping with the latest software on day one. You won’t have to wait for updates.

Final Thoughts
The Honor X9c is a practical mid-range phone that ticks most of the important boxes. It’s got a big, smooth screen, strong battery, and decent camera, and it’s built to survive real-world use. That combo is rare at this price.
The final piece of the puzzle is the price. If Honor keeps it fair, this could end up being one of the best buys under ₹25,000.
