vivo X Fold5 India Launch Teased: Here’s What to Expect

vivo X Fold5 India launch

The foldable phone trend is heating up in India, and vivo is getting ready to join the action once again. After teasing the upcoming launch of the vivo X200 FE, the brand has now confirmed that the vivo X Fold5 is also “coming soon” to India. And if everything goes as planned, both phones will likely hit the market in the same week, sometime between July 14 and 19, 2025.

Let’s break down what this foldable flagship brings, what’s different for India, and why it might be worth your attention.

Foldable Design, Flagship Feel

The vivo X Fold5 isn’t just a phone that folds, it’s a phone that does it with style. Based on the official teaser and the China launch earlier this year, this model sticks with a horizontal book-style fold, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series.

When folded, you get a regular smartphone experience. Unfold it, and it transforms into a tablet-sized screen perfect for multitasking, watching movies, or even light productivity on the go.

What’s New or Better?

The X Fold5 improves on the previous X Fold3 Pro with a lighter and slimmer body, better hinge durability, and upgraded performance under the hood (without using cliché phrases, of course).

Here’s what makes the vivo X Fold5 stand out:

  • Improved Hinge: vivo claims the updated hinge is more durable and allows for a flatter, less visible crease when unfolded.
  • Brighter Main Display: A sharp, AMOLED screen with up to 120Hz refresh rate gives smooth visuals, whether you’re scrolling or gaming.
  • Performance Boost: With the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, the Fold5 handles high-end apps and games effortlessly.
  • Faster Charging: 66W wired charging means you can top up in just under 45 minutes — very handy if you’re always on the move.

What Colors Are Coming to India?

For now, India will only get the Titanium Gray color of the X Fold5. While China has options like Pine Green and White, vivo is keeping it simple here, at least during the initial launch. But don’t worry, the brand might add more color variants later.

Limited Color Options Across Models

It’s not just the X Fold5 facing this limited color rollout. The vivo X200 FE, also expected in mid-July will launch in Amber Yellow and Luxe Black in India. The Pink and Blue versions available elsewhere won’t be offered here initially.

Final Thoughts: Should You Wait?

If you’re curious about foldable phones and want a premium Android experience, the vivo X Fold5 India launch is definitely worth watching. It’s built with solid materials, has cutting-edge specs, and delivers a flexible experience that’s more than just a gimmick.

The full official details, including the price in India, are expected between July 14–19, 2025. So if you’re shopping for a foldable phone this month, it might be smart to hold off for just a couple more weeks.
